Telecommunications History - Quality

After doing the release 3.52 FRT tests (shown on this page) I had the honor of being invited to lunch in Jon Prouts office with the other nominees.

This was just after release 3.52 was rolled out. The morning of the lunch I started to get reports, from the NMC, of routing problems which got worse all morning.

Anyway at lunch time I went to Jon Prouts office. I don't think Jon really enjoyed this sort of thing, the conversation all seemed a bit stilted although my fellow nominees were good at explaining the quality work they had done.

Eventually the trolley arrived with the finest produce from the Tenter House canteen. Before Jon had a chance to eat anything he got a call telling him the whole network had crashed. He therefore had to leave to compose a letter of apology to all the PSS customers.

We carried on with the lunch and I must say that, after Jon left, the mood lightened and we had a pleasant lunch.

When we left we told Neil? Walker that he could collect the leftovers.
